Analyse the current and preferred situation
In order to gain insight into our client's operational management, we start with an analysis of both the existing and the desired situation. The focus of the analysis varies from project to project. The focus can be on future scenarios, on risks, or on a current process model. We always conduct our analysis in close collaboration with the client and its employees.
Tools we use:
Most Double Effect projects start with a blueprint: what does the organisation look like, what challenges is it currently facing, and which internal and external forces are affecting it? Interviews, research and our extensive experience allow us to quickly obtain an objective view of complex environments. We achieve a holistic overview using different tools.
Once the blueprint of the current situation is ready, we start mapping out the connections between strategy, organisation, processes and systems. Everything is interrelated. Next, we define the desired state along the same lines. We identify the gap between the current and the desired state, again keeping in mind strategy, structures, processes, IT, communication and people. This allows us to plan and execute a successful transition.
